Phoenix
HARROGATE Phoenix Players are busy preparing for their next production which will be a Gala performance in the newly restored Royal Hall.

“A Royal Hall Gala Concert” features selections of songs from Show Boat which will form the first half of the programme followed by medleys from favourite shows including Bugsy Malone, Little Shop of Horrors, Evita and Les Miserables.

The performance will be compared by the acclaimed Leeds-born and BAFTA nominated playwright Kay Mellor. The performance will take place on Saturday, May 17 at Harrogate’s Royal Hall starting at 7.30pm. Tickets priced £10 are available from the International Centre box office or June Midson on 01423 562920.
Players HSAP (Harrogate St Andrew Players) are pleased to announce the details of their next show following the success of recent productions.

Showing from May 20 to 24, A Chorus Line is the society’s latest addition to the catalogue of sell out shows already under their belts. The society is again being directed and choreographed by Louise Denison and Musical Director Jim Lunt. A storyline based on a group of hopefuls auditioning for a new Broadway musical.

An emotional roller coaster of a show, great songs include the signature song, ‘One (Singular Sensation)’, and ‘What I Did For Love.’

Performances are nightly at 7.30pm with a Saturday matinee at 2.30pm. Tickets priced £9 to £15 are available from the Box Office on 01423 502116.
Stepping Out
MEMBERS of Harrogate Dramatic Society will be ‘Stepping Out’ literally when they take to the stage of Harrogate Theatre for their next production.

The play, set in a church hall, catalogues the complicated lives of seven women and one man who, alongwith their teacher and pianist, meet each week at their regular tap dance class. Eventful and emotional, funny yet poignant, Stepping Out by Richard Harris is a a highly acclaimed play, sure to prove a major hit with audiences.

Showing from May 14 to 17 in the main auditorium nightly at 7.30pm with a Saturday matinee at 2.30pm, tickets priced from £13 to £11 with concessions available (all matinee tickets £10) can be booked through the theatre box office on 01423 502116.
