Silly adaptation of Mel Brooks and Buck Henry's hit TV spy show Get Smart which spoofed James Bond in the 1960s.
This new version stars Steve ‘The Office’ Carell as the deadpan, dead stupid secret agent Maxwell Smart and Anne Hathaway as Agent 99. Among the others joining in the fun are Alan Arkin, Dwayne Johnson, Terence Stamp and, briefly, Bill Murray.

(you couldn’t make this sort of thing up). Also starring John Turturro, Emmanuelle Chriqui and Rob Schneider.

Though not quite as good as Batman Begins with a little less plot and more action, this is still a cut above all other superhero movies with great acting all-round, especially from the late Heath Ledger as The Joker and Christian Bale as Batman. If only it had paused for breath in a noisy and action-packed final 45 minutes it might have been even better.
