St Michael’s Church: Morning service at St Michael’s was taken by Nina Harrison. The prayers were given by Mrs Jane Dale, remembering Mr David Greenwood, Christopher Curtis, Canon Paul Carter and the family of Mr Ron Philpotts who died on Saturday.
The Good Friday service is at 10.30am.
Cafe: All will be welcomed on Thursday, March 20 at the cafe from 2.30pm-4.30pm.

St Michaels Church /Mothers Union

St Michaels Church: An excellent Advent Sunday lunch was served at the Village Hall by a team of ladies. Carvers of the turkeys were Mr Robert S Reed and Tim Kendall. Over 100 attended. Following this the Advent carol service led by the parish choir.
Mothers Union: Members met at the home of Jane Dale to hear about the experiences of our past President in her time in office. Margaret Hirst, who also is in charge of the MU caravan project at Primrose Valley.
Five members attended the Miscellaneous service at Kirby Fleetham on Monday. After a lovely service of hymns and readings and members adjourned to the village hall for refreshments, beautifully served by Kirby Fleetham members. Mrs Ruth Mcloud gave the thanks for all who attended.
Food for Thought: A new series of ‘Food for Thoughts’ will commence February 13 in Kirklington Village Hall. Mr Simon Tate will be our first speaker. Watch out for further notices. Many thanks and a Merry Christmas to all. Jane. |
