ARE we alone? The question has fascinated man for centuries, perhaps even for millennia, and Harrogate is no exception. At the Harrogate Advertiser we hear many a tale of strange lights in the sky, of unidentified objects flying overhead with no apparent explanation. And the town is just as quick to debunk the stories, with stories of meteorological phenomena and Chinese lanterns.

Ive seen Orange glowing balls in the sky moving slowly, not fast enough to be flying, more like floating across. Basketball sized but I cant tel because its too dark. These are not chinese lanterns, they were bright like the sun but dont hurt your eyes. DAMN WIERD MAYNE!!

Ok just set things straight. UFO's do exist and are 100% real.If you think you live on this tiny planet amongst numerous solar systems much like our own and give the shear scale of space thinking we are the only ones you must be small mineded & considering we only use 10% of our brain i think this to be the case for most.We do see lights which aren't explained so credited by very highly decorated trust worthy individuals who have no gain in lying but reality is we aren't at a stage technically advanced or intellectually ready to cope with UFO's.They have no gain to cooperate only learn then leave. Just think if we ever did have an encounter how would we react we wouldn't be ready to comprehend what they brought & half the world would die of a heart attack & what would we or could give to gain from them there are millions of planets with the same resources as our own & it would be like teaching cave men 10's of thousands years of evolution that would take a long time.For now we just get close encounters maybe if something catastrophic were to happen & they were cruising by they may come to light or maybe if we develop & expand we may come into contact but for now we can only gaze & wounder. I was in the ripon are with two friends just coming back from a long weekend up north & as we were sat filling the car up one of our mates in the back noticed a light in the sky they all got out and we observed the light which looked like a round set of lights with a glowing centre it was stationary in the sky then started to dot about before coming extremelly close to us one of us. He was so freaked out he got back in the car & wanted to go i must admit im a sceptic but this thing was nothing like ive seen before & ive seen some things. As we looked it seemed to be only 500-600yrds away we could hear it humming in the sky then all of a sudden it shot off straight into the mcdonnald drive through & a dazzling beam came out of the bottom after the innitail blur i could see it was stealing all the burgers,lazy buggers cant even be a***D to cook there abducted food any more. I asked the petrol sation for there tapes but the emf of the ufo fuzzed the images & when i asked staff all they could say was "duhhhhhh". So we will never have proof of that strange night only in our heads but one things real the "truth is out there!"

I never believed that the letters on this page were true but I recently had an experience that changed my mind. I was walking along Firs Drive late one evening walking my dog, a larbrodoodle (a labador/poodle cross), when a car pulled up alongside me. A man was driving and he proceeded to talk to me in some kind of language I could not understand, I asked him to repeat himself but got the same gobbldigook response, the driver then drove off quickly in the direction of Leeds Road - could this have been some kind of scout for an intergalactic invasion force?

I just wanted to clarify something from my earlier post - I was at the Cinema watching a film (I forget which one - perhaps this thing used some kind of Men in Black mind wipe on me?) and went to use the toilet, I was not watching the film in the toilet - sorry for any confusion caused.

Re comment from Mark 01/08/2009 - I too have seen a huge man like thing coveredin hair - I was in the toilets at the Odeon Cinema in Harrogate watching a motion picture when I witnessed this "thing" - what could it hae been?

Greetings Earthlings. I wish these were warm greetings i was sending you from my craft, which is currently hovering 2.74 miles above the town you call Harrogate. I wish to convey my disappointment in Human kind. Not only have you polluted your lovely Planet but you insist on sending your rockets and satellites up into space and leaving them up there to float around and pollute space. Also all that racket ( i think your species call it music) that you keep beaming into space hoping for a reply is so very loud and annoying. That is why we have not replied. We are worried that you will send yet more rubbish and noise through the wave lengths.
Its been nice chatting but i must go now i have a 6 year old long eared creature on my table ready for probing.

When I was at the tender age of 16 I saw groups of green humanoid creatures playing in the trees of adamans field in Starbeck, they had covered the trees in a colourful cobweb and appeared to be taunting me. I was with a group of friends at the time but they could not see them because of the vast amount of acid we had all dropped.
