FAQs Where will the awards take place? The venue for the awards gala night will be the Majestic Hotel, Harrogate. The event will take place on 6th March 2008. Who are the judges? Judges are drawn from leading businesses, the Ackrill organisation and category sponsors. All are selected for their business acumen, experience and knowledge of the specific subject matter. What criteria do the businesses need to meet? There are seperate criteria for each of the categories and this appears on the category list pages from the link above. The criteria is also available on request from our editorial department. Who can enter? Companies from any sector and of any size and age can enter any category, except for the Small, Medium and Large Company categories which have specified size restrictions. The businesses must be based in our region and we will consider equally any business which chooses to enter. There is one category excluded from self nomination which is Business personality of the year. There are also three categories which refer to individuals: Young entrepreneur of the year, Employee of the year & Lifetime Achievement Award. What size turnover does a business need? There are no limitations on the size of any business with regards to entering these awards except for the Small, Medium and Large Company categories which have specified size restrictions. We will consider all businesses on their merits regardless of age or size. It is optional to include the turnover of the business being entered for the award.
